Collection: Sirdar Soft Down

Sirdar Soft down is a cotton and acrylic blend from Sirdar, spun half and half so it takes the cool handle of cotton alongside the easy care of acrylic. Each ball is 100g and holds 343m, which is a generous amount of yarn for the money and means fewer joins across a body or a blanket. The stated tension is 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm, measured over stocking stitch.

That tension sits it comfortably with everyday jumpers, cardigans, children's garments and homeware, and the fibre mix means finished pieces can go through the machine rather than being kept for handwashing only. It is made in Turkey.
