DMC Diamant is a smooth metallic embroidery thread on 35 metre spools, made from viscose and polyester. It is a single strand and is not divided: one strand of Diamant covers like two strands of stranded cotton, so it works for whole motifs as well as highlights in cross stitch and embroidery.
