Collection: Rico Creative Painted Power Aran

Rico Creative Painted Power Aran is a self-patterning aran-weight yarn from Rico Design, and one we're pleased to have on the shelves. Aran weight knits up quickly, which makes it a sensible choice for jumpers, cardigans, hats, mittens and blankets, and it's forgiving enough for anyone moving on from their first few projects.

The colour changes do the decorative work for you, so simple stocking stitch and garter stitch show the yarn at its best. Plain shapes with little shaping, such as a straightforward hat or a squishy scarf, tend to suit painted yarns better than heavily textured stitch patterns, which can get lost in the colour shifts.

There are five shades in the range, including 012 Colourful, 003 Berries and 008 Winter Pastels. The whole range is in stock at our shop in Ledbury, where you're welcome to come and see the colours in daylight before choosing, and we offer free UK delivery on orders over £50.
