Rico Baby Dream DK a Luxury Touch from Rico Design is a double knitting weight yarn that we keep on the shelves for baby knits and small gifts. It works up on 4mm needles at a tension of 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10x10cm, so it slots straight into the many DK patterns already written for babies and children without any recalculating.

The range comes in six shades, among them Romantic Spray, Berry Spray and Flower Spray. The colours shift gently along the length of the yarn, which means plain stocking stitch and simple garter stitch do most of the work for you — useful for blankets, cardigans, hats and bootees where a busy stitch pattern would only compete with the colour changes.
