Katia Silky Lace Rainbow is a lace weight yarn from Katia, and it sits with the finer yarns on our shelves. Lace weight works up light and open, so a little goes a long way in shawls, wraps, scarves and other fine knitting and crochet, and it also does well held together with another yarn if you want a touch of colour and shine in a heavier fabric.

The range comes in six shades, numbered rather than named, among them 300, 301 and 302. As with most self-shading lace yarns, it is worth working a small swatch first to see how the colours fall across the stitch pattern you have in mind, whether that is a simple garter triangle or something with more open lacework.
