MODE at Rowan Chunky Wool is Rowan's chunky-weight wool yarn, and we keep it on the shelves here in Ledbury. It is a pure wool yarn in the chunky weight category, so it knits up quickly and holds its shape well — the sort of yarn that turns a weekend into a finished hat, or a few evenings into the front of a jumper.

Chunky wool suits outerwear and warm accessories: oversized jumpers and cardigans, scarves, cowls, hats and mittens, and simple textured blankets. It shows off cables and moss stitch clearly, which makes it a sound choice if you are moving on from your first scarf and want to see your stitches as you work.

There are 15 shades in the range, among them Winter, Primrose and Mist, with warmer neutrals such as Mocha and Cappucino alongside them.
