Collection: MODE at Rowan Alpaca Cotton

MODE at Rowan Alpaca Cotton is part of Rowan's MODE collection, a blend of cotton and alpaca that brings together two rather different characters in one yarn. The cotton gives stitch definition and a cool, steady handle, while the alpaca softens things and adds a gentle halo, so knitted fabric has a little more drape and warmth than cotton alone.

It is a sensible choice for garments and accessories worn close to the skin, and the mixed fibre content means it works through the milder months as well as the colder ones. We would happily use it for a simple stocking-stitch jumper, a cardigan, or textured pieces where you want the stitches to stay crisp.
