Collection: Wool and the Gang Alpaca Stardust

Alpaca Stardust from Wool and the Gang is a blend of 40% baby alpaca, 15% merino wool and 45% recycled polyester, which gives the yarn its softness and its faint glint of sparkle. Each ball weighs 50g and holds 110m, and it works to a tension of 14 stitches and 19.5 rows to 10cm.

At that tension it knits up quickly, so it suits hats, scarves, cowls and simple jumpers and cardigans where a little shimmer is wanted without going full glitter. The alpaca and merino keep it warm and comfortable next to the skin, while the recycled polyester carries the sparkle through the strand rather than sitting on the surface.
