Collection: King Cole Wool Aran

King Cole Wool Aran is a 100% wool yarn in the aran weight category, from King Cole. Each ball weighs 100g and holds 180m, worked on 5mm needles at a tension of 14 stitches and 20 rows to 10x10cm. It is a straightforward wool aran of the kind that covers most of the everyday knitting we are asked about in the shop.

The generous ball size and steady tension make it a sensible choice for jumpers and cardigans, hats, mittens and scarves, and for blankets worked in squares or strips. Being pure wool, it takes cables and textured stitch patterns clearly and blocks well.
