Collection: King Cole Tinsel Chunky

King Cole Tinsel Chunky is a chunky-weight tinsel yarn from King Cole, blending 75% polyester with 25% Lurex for a sparkle that runs right through the fabric. It comes in 50g balls giving 70m, and is worked on 6mm needles at a tension of 20 rows and 14 stitches to 10x10cm.

The soft, fluffy texture makes it a favourite in our shop for Christmas knits and quick festive makes – tree decorations, stockings, hats, scarves and toy trims – and it works well held together with a plain yarn if you want a hint of glitter rather than the full effect. Being chunky, it grows quickly, so a small project is often an evening's work.
