Collection: King Cole Homespun Prism DK

King Cole Homespun Prism DK is a double knitting yarn from King Cole, blending 22% merino, 22% alpaca, 23% acrylic, 23% polyamide and 10% viscose. Each 50g ball holds 175m, and it is worked on 4mm needles to a tension of 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10x10cm.

The wool and alpaca give it warmth and a soft handle, while the man-made fibres add a little resilience, so it takes well to jumpers, cardigans, hats, cowls and blankets. As a standard DK it will slot into most double knitting patterns without much fuss, and the colour changes along the length do the decorative work for you in plain stocking stitch or garter stitch.
