Collection: King Cole Homespun DK

King Cole Homespun DK is a double knitting yarn with a tweedy, homespun character, made from a blend of 23% acrylic, 22% merino, 22% alpaca, 23% PA and 10% tweed. Each 50g ball holds 175m, and it knits on 4mm needles to a tension of 22 stitches and 28 rows over 10x10cm.

The mix of merino and alpaca gives it warmth and a soft handle, while the tweed flecks add depth of colour to plain stocking stitch and simple textured patterns. We find it well suited to jumpers, cardigans, hats and scarves, and to accessories where a little rustic colour does the work for you.
