Collection: King Cole Fjord Baby DK

King Cole Fjord Baby DK is a double knitting yarn from King Cole, and one we're pleased to have on the shelves here in Ledbury. It works to a tension of 22 stitches and 28 rows over 10cm on 4mm needles, which is the standard DK gauge most patterns are written around, so it slots straight into baby and children's patterns without any recalculating.

The range comes in eight shades, among them Baldur, Eir and Embla. As a DK it suits the usual run of baby knits — cardigans, matinee jackets, blankets, hats and bootees — and it's an easy weight to work with if you're knitting your first garment, since the stitches are large enough to see and the fabric grows at a reasonable pace.
