Collection: King Cole Explorer

King Cole Explorer is a self-striping yarn from King Cole, blending 80% premium acrylic with 20% wool. It comes in generous 100g balls, each holding 80m, and is knitted on 10mm needles to a tension of 10 stitches and 14 rows over 10x10cm.

With so few stitches to the centimetre, it grows quickly, which makes it a sensible choice for blankets, scarves, cowls and simple outerwear when you want a project finished in an evening or two. The wool content gives the fabric a little warmth and body, while the acrylic keeps it easy to wash and wear. The colour changes happen as you knit, so plain stitch patterns show them off best.
