King Cole Cottagespun DK is a double knitting yarn from King Cole, and it has become one of the ranges we reach for most often when someone asks for a straightforward DK. Double knitting is the most widely used weight in British pattern books, so it suits jumpers and cardigans, hats, mitts and scarves, and blankets worked in squares or strips.

There are eight shades in the range, among them Crimson Confetti, Rustic Rainbow and Sea Glass, with softer options such as Daylight Delight and Silver Horizon alongside the brighter tones. The mix works well for colourwork and stripes, and the quieter shades hold cable and texture patterns clearly.
